As more groups and unofficial organizations emerge in our community in hopes of taking an active role in our upcoming local elections, we would like to clearly and definitively share our views and positions with the citizens of Shelbyville and Bedford County.

Summer vacation is often a time of relaxation before the stress and anxiety of a new school year begins. It’s a time to unplug and unwind and enjoy a couple of months of carefree fun. However, this summer a lingering cloud of uncertainty hangs over a portion of tax revenue that has been used to fund public education in Bedford County for the last 50 years.

This has been an exceptionally exciting week as we have officially launched our organization and have begun sharing or vision and goals with our neighbors and friends throughout Bedford County. The response from the community has been welcomed with overwhelming support and positivity.
